Siglos Privacy Policy

Effective 19 September 2026

The short version. Siglos shows gold prices. It works without an account, and if you never sign in we hold nothing about you at all. Your settings and price history stay on your phone. Signing in is optional and exists only to carry your settings across your devices.

What stays on your device

These never leave your phone. We cannot read them, and deleting the app deletes them:

Weights and amounts you enter are calculated on the device and are never sent anywhere.

If you choose to sign in

Sign-in is optional. Siglos supports Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In only — we never ask you to create a password, so there is no Siglos password to lose.

When you sign in, our authentication provider (Google Firebase Authentication) receives and stores:

Sign in with Apple lets you hide your email. If you choose that, we receive only Apple's private relay address and never see your real one. We do not attempt to resolve it.

We use this to recognise you across devices. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you.

What our server sees

The Siglos app fetches prices from our own service, which does not have user accounts and receives no identifier from the app. Price requests are not tied to you.

Our service runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information — including IP address — to route traffic and block abuse. This is handled by Cloudflare as our infrastructure provider and is not used by us to identify you.

Prices themselves come from a market-data provider that we query on a schedule. That provider is contacted by our server, never by your phone, so it never sees you.

Advertising

This version of Siglos shows no ads and runs no advertising tracking.

If we introduce advertising in a future version, we will update this policy before that version ships, and on iOS you will be asked for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt first. Declining will not limit the app.

What we never collect

Deleting your account

You can delete your Siglos account from inside the app: tap the account icon in the top corner of any screen, then Delete account. Deletion removes your authentication record and any settings synced to it. It is permanent and takes effect immediately; we keep no shadow copy.

You can also simply sign out, which leaves the app fully usable. Uninstalling the app removes everything held on the device but does not by itself delete an account you created — use the in-app deletion for that, or write to us.

How long we keep things

Account records are kept until you delete your account. Cloudflare's operational logs are short-lived and are retained under Cloudflare's own retention schedule. Device data lasts until you clear it or uninstall.

Children

Siglos is a financial-information tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Where data is processed

Siglos serves the GCC, but our providers operate globally, so information may be processed outside your country — including in the United States and the European Union. We rely on those providers' own safeguards for such transfers.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live — for example under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, the GDPR, or similar laws — you may also have the right to complain to a data-protection regulator.

Third parties we rely on

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the effective date above and say so in the app before the change takes effect.
