Gold rates for the Gulf, South Asia, the Philippines and the US

Something wrong, or a question? In the app, open More → Send feedback: it attaches your app version, market and the price on screen for you, and you can add a screenshot. Or write to support@siglos.app and a person will read it. Tell us your device and which market you were looking at, and we can usually work it out from that.

The price looks wrong

Siglos shows an indicative price derived from the international spot price and the local exchange rate. It is not the price on a jeweller's counter, and it is not the official rate published by any exchange or government body.

A shop's price is higher because it includes making charges and the retailer's margin, which vary by design and by shop. The calculator can add a making charge so you can compare the two.

The price has not changed

Prices update several times each trading day. Spot gold does not trade on Saturday or Sunday, so the price you see over a weekend is Friday's close and will not move until Monday. That is the market being shut, not the app being stuck.

Every price carries the time it was observed. If that time looks far too old on a weekday, tell us.

Some markets have a shorter chart

Where a currency is pegged to the US dollar — the dirham, riyals, Omani rial and Bahraini dinar — or is the dollar itself, its history could be reconstructed from the price of gold alone. The Kuwaiti dinar, Pakistani rupee and Bangladeshi taka float, and our data provider does not publish their historical rates, so those charts start when the service began quoting them and grow from there. The Philippine peso's history comes from the European Central Bank's published reference rates, and India's is being filled in. We would rather show less history than invent it.

Do I need an account?

No. Every feature works signed out. Signing in only carries your settings between your own devices, and you can delete the account at any time from the account icon in the top corner of the app.
