India opens on 10 grams with its prices grouped in lakhs, Pakistan and Bangladesh on tola, the US on the troy ounce. Three-decimal currencies keep three decimals, because rounding the dinar to two is wrong by an amount people notice. Tap a market to see its rates.
Siglos shows indicative prices derived from the international spot price and the local exchange rate. They are not retail counter prices.
Jewellers add making charges, and their own margin, on top of the metal. Those vary by shop and by design, so a counter price is always higher than the metal is worth. Use Siglos to know what the gold in a piece is worth, and what a quoted price implies on top of it.
Gold trades in US dollars per troy ounce, and a troy ounce is exactly 31.1034768 grams, not the 28.35 of an ordinary ounce.
Five Gulf currencies are pegged to the dollar at a fixed rate. The Kuwaiti dinar and the Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi and Philippine currencies float, so their rates are fetched with every price.
22K is 22 parts in 24: 0.9167 gold, a little more than the 916 stamped on it. Each karat is priced at its exact fraction.

Every price, chart and calculation works signed out. You will never be asked to create a password; Sign in with Apple or Google is there for price alerts.
The app does not use your advertising ID on either platform, and there is no tracking prompt on iPhone because there is nothing to ask permission for.
Anonymous usage statistics help us decide what to build next. Turn them off in Settings at any time and nothing is sent.
Siglos shows an indicative price derived from the international spot price and the local exchange rate. It is not the price on a jeweller's counter, and it is not the official rate published by any exchange or government body.
A shop's price is higher because it includes making charges and the retailer's margin, which vary by design and by shop. The calculator in the app can add a making charge and your market's tax, so you can compare the two.
Every 10 to 60 minutes on weekdays. Every price carries the time it was observed, here and in the app, so you always know how old the number is.
Spot gold does not trade on Saturday or Sunday, so the price you see over a weekend is Friday's close and will not move until the market reopens. That is the market being shut, not the app being stuck.
No. The app works without an account and you will never be asked to create a password. Signing in, with Apple or Google, is only needed for price alerts.
Eleven markets: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman; Pakistan, India and Bangladesh; the Philippines; and the United States. Each lists the karats its jewellers sell, from 24K down to 10K, in the units people buy in there.
Where a currency is pegged to the US dollar, or is the dollar itself, its history can be rebuilt from the price of gold alone. Floating currencies whose historical rates our data provider does not publish start when the service began quoting them, and grow every day. We would rather show less history than invent it.

In the app, tap the account icon in the top corner of any screen, then Delete account. It takes effect immediately and is permanent. The account deletion page lists what is removed and how to ask us instead.
